Calvin: I'm a simple man, Hobbes.
Hobbes: You?? Yesterday you wanted a nuclear powered car that could turn into a jet with laser-guided heat-seeking missiles!
Calvin: I'm a simple man with complex tastes.

On brevity and noodles
Monday, February 05, 2007
Something I read today and really liked -

He that uses many words for explaining any subject, doth, like the cuttlefish, hide himself for the most part in his own ink. - John Ray, naturalist (1627-1705)

On a completely different topic -

The amount of Maggi noodles inside the pan always seems less than the amount on the plate. Which probably explains why the person I serve to first gets less noodles than the person I serve to next.

P.S: This is my 180th post. Who would've thought!

Sharan - Thank you! :-) What made you think I'm not already subscribed to my daily does of CnH? ;-)

Me - Welcome! fail-safing..I cant put my finger on it, but something about word that makes it sound really weird, dont you think? :-?

Nithya - Hehe, thanks. There's a saying in Tamil, 'vallavanukku pullum ayudham' (or something like that) - meaning for a courageous person even grass is a weapon. Like that, I dont need anything to be in common between 2 topics - I'll make it work, albeit pathetically..

The Zahir is okk..a bit more profound than Alchemist, so it's taking me a while to read it and enjoy it... will blog about it when Im done (as usual! heh heh)

    Shiva - Profoundament! ;-)

Venki - Thanks! looks like you did you style tag - tell you a secret? Im not gonna do mine. There!
